Open a new image 500X500, white background or any color you prefer.

Step 1. Head: Using the Path drawing tool ellipse size: 105X115, color:#F3C6C6 or a color you prefer. Go to path edit to edit the shape like the one on the left.

Step 2. right eye: Ellipse, white, size:15X12, 2D, go into path edit mode, edit the shape like the one opposite.

2a. Set your paint brush to the settings below, color: black Go to the menu at the top, effects, creative and click on Paint on Edges.

2b, Using the blur tool with the settings at left, very lightly around the edge of the eye.

.2c. Using the burn tool with the settings at left, with the predefined options set at edge burn, go over the top edge of the eye from right to left or vice versa, which ever is easier for you. See the example at left of what mine looks like after the edge burn.

2d. Inner eye: Using the ellipse draw size: 7X8, color: I used: #042B7E, 3D, with width:4 and depth: 30. Now draw another ellipse, size: 4X4, color: black, 3D, width and depth as high as they will go, using the lights in the tool settings place the point in the middle of the black eye. Put the three parts of the eye together, group, duplicate. Place the duplicate on the left and flip horizontally

Note: It isn't always possible to use the same eye for the left and right, depends on the angle of the face.

3. Lips, which I have supplied in a zip at the top of the page.

You should have something like the picture on the left.

4. Right ear: Path drawing tool, ellipse, size: 19X47. color: #F3C6C6, 2D, click into path edit and edit the shape as the image at left.

4A. Shading the ear: Right click on the ear and convert to an image.  Using the air brush, color:#BB6C6C, with the settings on the left, darken the right side edge of the ear. Change to size of the air brush to 4 to shade the inside of the ear like in the image at left.

Using the blur tool lightly go over the airbrushing. See settings at left.

5. Shading the face: Set your airbrush same as the setting on left, color: #A96D6D and shade it like the example left, you may have to repeat the airbrush to get it dark enough. For his nostrils brush  on the shading, repeat several times. Using the blur tool with the settings at left, lightly blur the airbrushing.

5A. Set the size of the airbrush to:20, every thing else the same to shade each side of the face, see example, then select the ear and shade the inside next to the face to make them the same color.

5B. Lets give him some rosey cheeks, with the airbrush settings; color: #FC7272, size: 43, soft edge:100, place the airbrush on his cheeks, start clicking, it will take several times to get them dark enough and blur.

More shading: Using the Airbrush, change the settings to: color:#CD8181,size: 9, soft edge: 100, shade each side of his nose from the inside of the eye, slightly curve inward and downward. Shade from the outside of each eye out near the edge of his head, so it will look indented.

5C, With the dodge tool, settings, see left. Lighten where the tip of his nose would be located. Change the size of the dodge tool to: 45, lighten the middle of the forehead. Blur very lightly with the default settings. Size: 20, soft edge 50, level: 5.

Are you still with me?

The size doesn't matter for now, The color is red or any color you prefer. Now using the perspective tool, resize make the shape size: 102X37. Go into path edit and edit the shape like the one at left.
